CHRISTIANSEN CRITICIZES SENATOR CRAMER’S VOTE ON IVF ACCESS

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Today, Democratic Senate candidate Katrina Christiansen responded to Senator Kevin Cramer’s recent vote against access to in vitro fertilization (IVF). Amid growing concerns over attacks on reproductive healthcare, including birth control and IVF, Democrats have moved to protect these services, which they say are essential for families across the country.

In a statement, Christiansen addressed the implications of Cramer’s stance, emphasizing the need for North Dakotans to retain access to vital healthcare options. A media release states that Christiansen criticized career politicians, including Cramer, for using healthcare as a “wedge issue” and vowed to defend the right to IVF and birth control if elected to the U.S. Senate.

Republicans, including Cramer, have faced backlash over restrictive abortion measures following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Public opinion has increasingly favored access to reproductive healthcare, and Christiansen’s campaign has centered on protecting those rights, which she says are under threat.

“Women’s healthcare is not up for debate,” Christiansen’s media release reiterated, underscoring her commitment to defending access to both IVF and birth control in the state.
