I’m still looking into this.  Incumbent Kevin Cramer (R-ND) is being challenged by Katrina Christiansen.  Katrina is a professor at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, ND.  If I’m reading the bio on her webpage right, she has a PhD in Agricultural Engineering and a couple of patents.

She just outraised Kevin Cramer in funding! (NewsDakota.com — it’s new to me, but I think it’s safe)

OTOH, Kevin Cramer’s son Ian was involved in a tragic incident in December of 2023.  He was being admitted into a Bismarck hospital for observation when he stole his mother’s SUV, engaged in a chase and struck a Sheriff’s vehicle, killing a deputy.  It gets worse than that.  A lot worse.  I don’t want to be ghoulish, so if anyone is curious, there is a lot to be found if you do a search for “Ian Cramer”.

The thing is that I think there are a lot of people that think that Kevin Cramer should be spending more time with his family and Katrina just outraised him.

Ian Cramer’s trial starts on September 24, 2024, just in time to put the case in the spotlight before the election.  I think this is winnable.
