Katrina Christiansen visits Casselton and Fargo during campaign stops ahead of June 11 primary

FARGO — Democratic Senate candidate Katrina Christiansen stopped by Happy Harry's Ribfest on Wednesday, June 5, to talk with voters.

Christiansen paid a visit to Casselton earlier that morning with stops planned in Oakes and Gwinner later in the week.

Christiansen ran for Senate back in 2022, but lost to Republican incumbent Sen. John Hoeven.

Christiansen said lessons learned from that campaign are playing a big role in her run this time. She's currently on an unpaid leave from her job at the University of Jamestown, committing full time to campaigning on the road.

She says rubbing elbows with voters face-to-face will play a key role in her campaign this time around.

"We need to get out there and show them that I'm invested in helping them," Christiansen said. "I like asking people about what they care about, I'm not talking about what I care about."

The primary election is on June 11, with the general election to follow in November.
